Dr. Stephen Cain directs the Advancing Wearable Systems for Out-of-the-lab Measurement and Evaluation Research Laboratory ( AWeSOME Research Lab) and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at West Virginia University.
Originally from rural western Pennsylvania, Dr. Cain earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University followed by a M.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering, a M.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Dr. Cain joined West Virginia University in August 2021.
